As an experienced techie (I get paid to be a geek) by day and a creative soul by night (and often during lunch breaks), I wonder about which aspect should rule my life and my blogging/online world. Sometimes, I think about escaping the hi-tech world to become a full-time writer, but part of me really enjoys working with servers and *nix and databases and programming. Or maybe that part of me makes me think that because it’s just afraid to step outside the comfort of an IT world that’s treated me well for a long time.
So, what does that have to do with this blog? Well, it’s my therapy. I’m freeing myself to be whatever I want here–techie, creative, writer, gamer, entertainer, and all-around geek. Posts may jump randomly from tech talk to comics to advanced physics to motivational talks to cheesy humor bits. No more playing to specific audiences and filtering myself to keep “on topic”… to keep to some kind of theme.
The only theme is that it’s me and mostly inspired by some sort of post-traumatic tech disorder.
